Dr. Michael Bubon
Dr. Michael Bubon has been fascinated by orthodontics ever since he had braces as a youth. Deciding to make orthodontics a career, Dr. Bubon went to Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City to obtain his orthodontic degree. He returned to his Midwest roots to establish Bubon Orthodontics in 1993, currently one of the largest privately owned orthodontic practices in the country.
Always shunning “corporate dentistry,” the team at Bubon Orthodontics maintains a family-oriented culture and was awarded one of the “Best Places to Work” by Metro Parent Magazine. Dr. Bubon works to improve not only the smiles, but also the lives of the Wisconsin communities.
In between patients, Dr. Bubon shares his expertise on modern orthodontics therapy. He has published numerous articles in orthodontic journals and has lectured nationally and internationally on modern treatment techniques as well as practice management.
Dr. Bubon’s personal interests include golf, reading, as well as extensive study of classical western philosophy and Christian theology. He also helps run a monthly program for high school boys in Brookfield entitled “The Complete Man Series.” Bubon Orthodontics routinely donates to a variety of local not-for-profit associations that help parents, children and families.
Dr. Bubon maintains an active membership in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists and the Milwaukee and Waukesha County Dental Societies. He achieved Board Certification from the International Association of Orthodontics and was awarded the title of “Master Instructor” for the same organization. Dr. Bubon was named “Clinician of the Year” by the American Association of Functional Orthodontists in 1999.
